Lexus Resale Value
Blue Book Value
You may have never heard of them, but a company based in California called Kelley Blue Book actually has a lot of influence on the success of certain automobile brands and specific models. Kelley Blue Book is a valuation and research company that determines the resale values of vehicles in the market. Their reports are accepted by the auto industry and general consumers as the official standard for accurate blue book values. The report is based on how much value each vehicle brand and model would keep after 5 years on the road. Leading the pack this year was Lexus.
Top Luxury Brand
Overall, Lexus was ranked as the top luxury brand in terms of retail value. This should come as no surprise as Lexus has gone to great lengths to continue to add value to their brand over the last several years. New designs, new technology, and a deliberate focus on continual improvement have all allowed Lexus to climb to the top of the luxury brand ladder. Being recognized by Kelley Blue Book as the top luxury brand is yet another accolade to add to their portfolio. When someone is purchasing a brand new vehicle, often the thought of resale value is not at the forefront of their mind. But knowing that you are getting great value on a top of the line luxury vehicle and that it will also retain its value for years to come is the complete package.
Lexus was specifically recognized for six of their models, which is more than any other manufacturer on this year’s list. The new Lexus RC took the top value for an entry-level luxury car. The Lexus GS was best overall luxury car. The RX 450h was declared best blue book value on a hybrid SUV/crossover. The ES 300h was best hybrid/alternative energy car. The best luxury midsize SUV/crossover is the GX 460, and finally the LX 570 was best full sized SUV/crossover. All six of these models have already impressed car buyers with their overall design and technology features, but now are also top of list for retaining their value.
