2016 Lexus ES Hybrid

All-New ES 300h

As one of only a few luxury hybrid sedans, Lexus’ ES 300h has also enjoyed a relatively positive response from both critics and drivers alike. Combining the best in Toyota hybrid technologies with Lexus’ dedication to luxury and performance makes for a fantastic combination. For 2016, Lexus did a major update to the exterior of the ES 300h while still keeping the engine of the vehicle the same. This means the new model carries the same top end economy and reliability while becoming even more cutting edge in design and style.

Exterior Changes

By far the biggest and more noticeable change in the 2016 Lexus ES 300h is the adoption of the “spindle grille”. This new front end design has slowly made its way across all the Lexus models, and now it is the 300h’s turn. The grille is incredibly eye-catching and sporty in design and execution. It pairs well with the newly designed headlamps and fog lights, which are much more angular and sharper. The narrowed almost jagged looking lamps complete the new front end look. On the back end, the tail lamps have adopted L-shaped innards much like the other Lexus models. The Hybrid badging has been updated to reflect the new style of the 2016 ES 300h as well. A new wheel design allows for anything from 17 to 20 inch and the tail pipes are now rectangular in shape. There are some slight updates to a bit of the chrome trim garnishes as well just to bring the whole package together.

More Updates

As mentioned previously, the most dynamic changes for the 2016 ES 300h were the exterior design. However, other changes are present on the car including new color options for the interior on both upholstery and trim color. The console touchscreen has been tweaked slightly as well. Of more important note is the Lexus Safety System+ which combines features such as adaptive cruise control, auto-braking, lane departure warning, auto-high beams and more into one fantastic system.
